Dubrovnik

Dubrovnik we found absolutely enchanting with all its stone walls and buildings.

Fortunately our cruise was taking place at the end of summer, the beginning of autumn in fact, so even though the weather was beautiful, thankfully it wasn’t very busy. We were able to move around the old city fairly easily but a tour guide informed us that on one occasion there had been TWELVE cruise ships in on one day.  There would not have been room to move.

We took a shore tour in the morning over to Split however we did stop at some beautiful gardens towards the edge of down that contained so much history.

These ruins are said to be thousands of years old

The children were 4 and 6 when we traveled here but given the amount of ancient ruins, there was plenty to keep the interested!
